Your PDF is read by code running in this browser tab. There is no upload, no server and no analytics on this address, and the PDF viewer it uses is served from here rather than from someone else's network. Nothing is stored unless you download it yourself.

What this tool does, and what it does not

How your document is treated
  • Your file is never rewritten. The fields are appended to the end of the document as a PDF “incremental update”, so every byte of the original is still there, in order, in the file you download. Most tools rebuild the whole document instead, which quietly drops anything they did not understand.
  • The fields are real. They are AcroForm fields, the same kind Acrobat makes — not pictures of boxes. Anyone with a PDF reader can fill them in and save their answers.
  • They are drawn here, not left to the reader. Each field is given its own appearance, because several common readers draw nothing for a field that has none, leaving the form blank exactly where it matters.
  • Nothing is guessed about the page. Rotation and a cropped page area are both read from the document and applied, so a field lands where you put it even on a sideways page.
Limits, honestly
  • Field text uses the fonts built into every PDF reader, which cover Latin alphabets only. Anything outside that — Greek, Cyrillic, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Hebrew, emoji — is refused before export rather than written as question marks.
  • Password-protected PDFs are refused. This tool will not work around a password.
  • XFA forms (usually made by Adobe LiveCycle or Designer) are refused: their fields live in a separate XML layer, and adding ordinary fields would produce a file that opens wrongly in the program it was made for.
  • Fields a document already has are listed and preserved, but not edited. Changing existing fields is a different job and is not attempted here.
  • If your document is signed, adding anything to it may make the signature report as invalid. The warning appears when that applies. Nothing here validates or creates signatures.
  • The file is held in memory. Around 100 pages is comfortable; much larger documents depend on the device.
  • Nothing is saved between visits — closing the tab discards your work, so download before you go.
